What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governors of Blackburn Primary School are seeking to appoint two excellent classroom practitioners, with a track record of inspiring excellence and nurturing well-rounded children in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, to become part of our team and move our school to the next level.

This post is a fixed term contract for 1 year. There is potential for a permanent contract in the future.

We are looking for a passionate teacher looking to continue their career in a school that is proud to inspire excellence and nurture well rounded children. We are not picky about how long you have taught. What we want is someone who:

  • Is committed to developing their own practice through a culture of CPD
  • Is passionate about working with children and can work as part of a successful team
  • Is passionate about teaching and learning and wants to develop their practice
  • Can or is drive to model exemplary practice in the classroom
  • Has energy and enthusiasm to engage staff and students
  • Can champion change and think differently
  • Responds well to feedback and wants to grow as a teacher
