What skills and experience we're looking for

At our last inspection in June 2022 Ofsted judged our school as ‘Good’ and potentially ‘Outstanding.’

To maintain our high standards we are looking for an outstanding teacher to provide maternity cover for a period of 12 months in our Year 2 class. This is a full-time position. The successful candidate will join a highly experienced and skilful team who work tirelessly to unlock the potential of our amazing pupils.

The successful candidate will have the ability to deliver quality teaching that drives forward achievement and inspires a love of learning. You will be able to demonstrate experience of achieving positive outcomes for pupils, as well as being passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people. As a committed team player, you will have excellent organisational skills and the natural ability to motivate both pupils and peers.

You will have:

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Experience of innovation and creativity to engage, enthuse and progress learners.
  • The ability to deliver effective and outstanding learning and teaching in the classroom.

​​​​​​​If shortlisted, through observation, candidates will have the opportunity to showcase their passion for education and share their ability to motivate and challenge children. Through interview, they will demonstrate a commitment to all aspects of school life, experience of teaching KS1 children and an ability to work collaboratively with all staff.
