What skills and experience we're looking for

• Qualified teacher status with primary focus
  
• Experience of working or recent successful teaching practice within Key Stage 1
  
• Support for the aims and ethos of a Church School
  

• An understanding of all aspects of the National Curriculum (2014). Competent use of primary framework and its materials.

  Ability to plan effectively and creatively for all abilities within a class
  

• Ability to effectively manage a classroom well.

  • Extremely effective techniques to manage challenging behaviour as well as manage and support a variety of emotional and SEND needs.
  • An understanding of the safeguarding procedures surrounding child protection issues
  • Sensitivity towards the partnership between home and school
  • Confident and professional approach when liaising with parents
  • A commitment towards continued professional development
  • A flexible approach
  • Good communication skills with staff, pupils and parents
  • Ability to work effectively in close partnership with colleagues
