What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Experience of working with Foundation Stage, KS1 and KS2, with the ability to teach a wide range of subjects across the primary age range.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate good teaching ensuring all pupils make excellent progress
  • Successful and relevant primary teaching experience
  • Experience and understanding of a range of assessment techniques to maximise student progress
  • Proven ability to manage behaviour both within class and throughout the school
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills. Proven ability to meet deadlines and be punctual.

  • Ability to develop positive working relationships with students, parents, staff, Academy Councillors and local community

  • Ability to develop strategies for creating community links

We are seeking to appoint a KS2 Practitioner to lead a subject in an area of the curriculum to be negotiated, who is passionate about their subject and can provide evidence of proven success in nurturing an environment within which everyone can reach their full potential – students and staff alike.

You will be part of the leadership team, working collaboratively, sharing ideas and supporting each other to develop your subject’s teaching and learning strategies. You should be able to teach across the ability range for KS2 and have a real interest in leading this subject area.
