Further details about the role
Are you passionate about Teaching and Learning and dedicated to making a positive impact on Children’s lives?
The team at The Snaith School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled Primary School Teacher to work with pupils across both Key Stages, primarily KS3. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupils' progress and confidence as they transition from primary to secondary education.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing core literacy and numeracy skills, including phonics, and will contribute actively to the delivery of our whole-school intervention programme. In addition, they will take on teaching responsibilities for Year 7 class, supporting younger learners in building a strong academic foundation.
We are looking for a dedicated professional who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping every pupil succeed.
Starting in September 2025, fixed term until 31 August 2026, the role is up to full timeand will be paid on TEAL’s qualified teachers pay scale (points 1 to 9). If you are interested in working on a part time basis, please get in touch as we would be happy to explore this further with you.
Why choose us?
We are more than just a place of learning — we are a family. We pride ourselves on being a highly inclusive environment, deeply committed to maximising the life chances of every student. We strive to open doors to meaningful opportunities, empowering our pupils to lead happy, successful lives. Our shared values underpin everything we do: we work hard, trust one another, and are guided by a strong moral compass to always do what is right.
Kindness, helpfulness, and consideration are at the core of our daily interactions. We believe in seeing the best in everyone and consistently hold ourselves and each other to the highest standards. Together, we create a culture where every member of our school community can thrive.
Within The Education Alliance Multi Academy Trust, there are lots of opportunities for collaboration and also further opportunities to develop and progress. As a trust, we are here to make great schools and happier, stronger communities so that people have better lives.
For too long in many schools, staff have been asked to choose between being seen as good at their job and being a good mum, dad, partner, son, daughter or friend. We are doing everything we can to support our staff to balance the demands of their jobs and those at home.
To support this, we:
- Trust our staff to plan, prepare and assess at the best time for them, allowing them to go off-site in their PPA
- Have centralised our Behaviour Policy so teachers are freed up from supervising detentions
- Demand ethical leadership built on professional trust
- Reject fads and ensure our CPD is evidence-informed and predominantly subject specific
- Have reduced data collections to twice yearly
- Do not expect staff to respond to emails outside normal working hours
- Do not deploy staff at other Trust schools unless it is at their request
We have removed the following:
- Performance management objectives and performance-related pay
- Lesson observations and high stakes, toxic accountability
- Onerous marking policies
- Requirements for daily or weekly lesson plans
Above all, we recognise that seeking to remove the number of tasks staff undertake will have little effect on improving work/home balance if this happens within a toxic culture. To support this, we offer training for our leaders to ensure they are able to translate our values into behaviours which are built on the principles of dignity, respect, professionalism and integrity.
We offer a range of benefits, including:
- Ethical leadership, professional trust and autonomy and a caring ethos in which everyone is valued and respected.
- A great programme of CPDand opportunities to collaborate with other teaching professionals across TEAL.
- Family friendly policies, including sector leading Maternity, Adoption and Neonatal care pay offers.
- Opportunities forflexible working
- Well-being supportincluding discounted East Riding gym membership; free annual flu vaccinations; refund of the cost of the annual NHS prescription prepayment certificate; access to a free employee assistance scheme 24/7 with advice on a wide range of practical issues ranging from legal information and consumer issues to specialist counselling or our virtual GP service.
