Teacher of Mathematics job summary

Astrea Academy Sheffield is looking for an outstanding Teacher of Mathematics to join their team!

The Teacher of Mathematics will ensure the highest standards of learning, development and achievement for their scholars and will take responsibility for the education and welfare of all scholars of Astrea Academy Sheffield.


As a Teacher of Mathematics you will:

  • Have secure knowledge of the relevant subject(s) and curriculum areas, foster and maintain scholars' interests in these subjects and address misunderstandings and misconceptions
  • Set goals that stretch and challenge scholars of all backgrounds, abilities and dispositions
  • Demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values and behaviour which are expected of all scholars
  • Promote high standards of attainment, progress and outcomes for all scholars
