What skills and experience we're looking for

  • An enthusiastic teacher of Mathematics to join our successful department.
  • A passion for your subject and the skills to engage students across the age and ability range.
  • Ambition for our students and enjoy working as part of a high achieving department.
  • We would particularly welcome applications from candidates who have the skills and experience to teach A Level Mathematics. A Level Mathematics is extremely popular and successful at Parmiter’s, with over 200 Sixth Form students studying Mathematics or Further Mathematics.
  • For suitably qualified candidates there would be an opportunity to teach A Level Further Mathematics and prepare students for STEP papers.

Parmiter's School relocated to the current 60 acre rural Hertfordshire site from London's East End in 1977.  The school enjoys a good reputation for traditional values and academic achievement whilst maintaining a true family feel among staff and students.  
Experienced teachers, newly qualified colleagues and support staff benefit from a supportive leadership team who focus on CPD and well-being as a priority.  
Parmiter's is a lead partner in The Watford Partnership for Teacher Training and takes the lead on Initial Teacher Training.  A number of existing teachers are accredited with being Specialist Leaders of Education. 
The school is consistently over subscribed for Year 7 and Sixth Form entry. Children of staff are a priority for admission.
