An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly effective and inspirational Teacher of Mathematics to join our vibrant and supportive team at John Hanson Community School.

We are looking for a teacher who has excellent subject knowledge, a passion for learning, and the ability to engage and enthuse students to reach their academic and personal potential.   • Be passionate about teaching mathematics at Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Have strong subject knowledge (we teach Edexcel at GCSE).

Location and History

John Hanson Community School is a thriving, mixed gender 11-16 community school in South West Andover, Hampshire, with almost 1000 students. The school has a rich history, dating back to 1582, and was previously known as Andover Free School and Andover Grammar School. In 1974 the school was renamed John Hanson School in honour of its founder, and moved to the current site on Floral Way in 2001.
