We are looking to appoint a dynamic and highly motivated Teacher of Mathematics to teach at KS3/4 and/or KS5. A skilled and aspirant teacher, you will be committed to academic excellence and high classroom standards.

Our aim is that every student gains enjoyment from their study of Maths and will become fluent in the Maths skills necessary for life. The lessons we teach are dynamic, varied and interesting, with all students being challenged in a supportive environment. Teachers individualize their own lessons within the curriculum strand being taught and are encouraged to share best practice with others within the department.

Mathematics is an extremely popular and successful at both KS4 and KS5. At GCSE our GCSE 4+ rate/progress 8 is consistently above national (2018 76%/P8 =+0.24, 2019 77%/P8 =+0.22 and 2020 80%/P8 =+0.42). We also offer some of our more able students the chance to study the AQA Level 2 Certificate in Further Maths in Year 11.

At KS5 we have over 200 students who study A level Mathematics, Further A level Mathematics or level 3 Core Mathematics with results in these subjects consistently above the national average. Many students continue to study Mathematics or related subjects at University.

This position is suitable for either an ECT or an experienced teacher who is committed to enabling every student to achieve the very best they can, and is dedicated to their own professional development. The right candidate will have the opportunity to teach A level Maths.
