We have an exciting opportunity for an inspirational and enthusiastic Mathematics to join our friendly and forward-thinking team at Greater Peterborough UTC from September 2024. This is an ideal position for either an experienced or early career teacher who wishes to develop their practice in a supportive and innovative environment. A recruitment allowance may be available for the right candidate.
We are extremely proud to be Peterborough's only STEM-specialist school. We offer state of the art labs and classrooms where we are able to deliver specialist education, a tailored curriculum and a caring pastoral programme.
The successful applicant will work within a well-established, expanding team of specialist teachers. You will have the opportunity to teach across key stages 3 to 5.
The opportunity to:
- be an excellent classroom practitioner committed to Extending the Boundaries of Learning
- work closely with your subject team to contribute and adhere to the subject schemes of work
- set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge students in all age ranges including a significant increase of students aged 16-18
- play an active role in the maintenance of exceptional student behaviour amongst our students
- deliver high quality teaching and pastoral support to all students
The ideal candidate:
- An excellent classroom practitioner with outstanding subject knowledge
- Able to teach students across Ks3 to A-Level
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Qualified Teacher Status and degree in specialist subject
- Evidence of both curricular and pastoral responsibilities
- An excellent understanding and commitment to teaching standards, with the ability to provide stimulating and engaging learning experiences
- Ability to foster, promote, and maintain good relationships
- An excellent communicator and team player
- A creative thinker, with a positive and enthusiastic approach to work

We focus on our learners, their destinations and their outcomes, a small enough setting to know all our learners by name.
