What skills and experience we're looking for
This role would be very well suited for a Maths teacher who would like to see the real impact of Maths on the life prospects of their students and is excited about applying Maths and financial literacy to aspiring creative professionals. It is a unique role which allows for creativity in the curriculum and should appeal to those who have a vision for how financial literacy and Maths should be taught to young professionals to improve their life and career chances.
The postholder would be responsible for the planning, delivery and marking of lessons for each strand (GCSE and Level 3 courses) with the aim of achieving exceptional outcomes in all qualifications and providing a very high quality experience for the trainees on all strands of the Mathematics programme. They will also be expected to promote the Mathematics department more widely, for example through running meaningful extra-curricular activities or building relationships with external organisations to provide speakers and facilitators for Maths Masterclasses.
