The National Academy ethos, ‘Life in all its fullness’, underlines our commitment to the education of the whole of the child, with the development of our students’ character and cultural capital as important as their academic progress. Accordingly, committed to the wellbeing of our students and staff alike, we pride ourselves on our duty of care to both. Working at The National Academy will be a vocation where our children are at the centre of all that we do and where we value and support all who walk through our gates.
Accordingly, we are looking for an inspiring and creative teacher who is passionate about mathematics and wants to share their passion with our students. This is a fabulous opportunity for either a confident and ambitious ECT or a more experienced teacher who wants to develop their career. This is a full time, fixed term contract for 1 year position. The appointed candidate will have the opportunity to teach at all levels from year 7 to year 13.

The academy has been a core part of the town of Hucknall since 1788 and is now a vibrant hub of education for students aged 11 to 19. Our rich heritage, combined with strong core values, our sense of community, and a steadfast commitment to improving education for all students remains crucial to our success.
We demand excellence and respect from our students and, in turn, deliver a broad and balanced curriculum to meet the needs of young minds. Allied to our reputation for progress and achievement, and superb facilities, this creates an inspiring learning environment.
As a faith academy our core values around Christianity underpin everything we do. Students’understanding of their place in the world is extended through a rich and diverse curriculum, and we teach all individuals to aspire to great things. The opportunity for all students to reach their full potential is realised through an individualised programme.
