Are you an inspirational and enthusiastic Maths teacher who is looking for a new / first challenge?

This is an exciting, and rare, opportunity to join our exceptionally high performing team; since 2017 our GCSE outcomes have consistently had progress measures in the top 5% of all schools nationally. Our GCSE results for 2019 were also significantly above the national average with 84% of pupils achieving a grade 4+ and 69% of pupils achieving a grade 5+. Your role will include the teaching Mathematics to all abilities from Year 7 to Sixth Form, providing you with the opportunity to build on and develop your experience to teach lessons across KS3, KS4 & KS5.

Essential skills and experience

Experience of teaching mathematics at KS3 and KS4
Ability to teach A level
Knowledge of a range of active teaching and learning strategies that can be used to raise attainment for students of all abilities
An understanding of a range of behaviour management strategies
Knowledge of how ICT can be used to support learning in mathematics, e.g. use of Desmos and GeoGebra
The ability to use a range of teaching and learning strategies to promote engagement and achievement with students of a range of abilities
The ability to use a range of classroom management techniques
Good communication skills with both adults and students
Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
Competence in assessing pupil progress and attainment
The ability to promote the value of mathematics and communicate a passion for the subject
