Job description

The main duties and responsibilities of this post include:

• Teaching all aspects of Mathematics (including A Level for a suitable candidate)
• Developing and maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum
• Using appropriate teaching and classroom strategies to motivate students and enable their progress
• Contributing actively to the policies and aspirations of the school.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:

• An ability to teach Mathematics
• The potential to be an outstanding teacher
• Knowledge and understanding of the curriculum and pedagogy
• Personal ambition and the capacity for hard work

Essential educational requirements

Mathematics degree or other that ensures secure subject knowledge to Key Stage 4.

Essential qualifications

Qualified teacher status by September 2020

Essential skills and experience

The ability to teach all areas of the Mathematics curriculum to KS4, through to A level would be desirable.
