Teacher of Mathematics (Trainee) job summary
We are seeking to appoint a talented, energetic and inspirational Teacher of Mathematics Trainee.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a secure understanding of how to raise attainment levels for all our students and support them in making progress to achieve excellent outcomes. The candidate must be able to show ways of improving attitudes to learning within an education setting. The post would suit a talented individual who is willing to train toward becoming a Maths teacher.
The ability to inspire children through Mathematics is essential.
Skills and Experience:
A relevant degree
Aspiring to teach Mathematics at KS3, 4 and 5
Experience of strategies / interventions to ensure students make outstanding progress
Motivational and keen to improve provision for our students
Be able to establish successful relationships at all levels
Maintain effective communications
Demonstrate appropriate inter-personal skills
Ability to prioritise time effectively
Self-confidence and presence
Personal impact, commitment, enthusiasm and integrity
Sensitivity to the needs of a diverse academy population
Willingness to maintain their professional development
A love of Maths!

Wednesfield High Specialist Engineering Academy is situated in the north-east area of Wolverhampton. There are approximately 910 students attending the academy including 100 in our Sixth Form. This is an extremely exciting time to join us on our journey to becoming an outstanding academy. We have recently launched our new University of Wolverhampton Multi-Academy Trust Sixth Form, merging two of the most successful Sixth Forms for student progress within the city of Wolverhampton and operating out of two campuses to create ‘Learners Today, Leaders Tomorrow’. We are extremely proud that the academic progress our A Level students made in 2019 was the highest in the city.
