0.5fte/Permanent contract
Required from August 2020, an enthusiastic, energetic and well-qualified Maths teacher to join a committed team.

The successful candidate will have the ability to teach Maths at Key Stage 3 and 4 and there may be an opportunity to teach AS/A2 for a suitably qualified candidate.

Essential educational requirements

Good honours degree or relevant qualification in subject

Essential qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status in subject

Essential skills and experience

Evidence of good teaching skills throughout the age and ability range
Evidence of the need to differentiate teaching and learning
Understanding of how to create a good learning environment
Specific examples of good teaching from own experience
Ability to integrate IT into subject teaching
Experience of being/ working alongside a tutor
Interest and ability to teach the pastoral programme
Commitment to and understanding of the role of the tutor
Commitment to working with young people outside the classroom context
Understanding of the need to work with students on an individual basis to raise levels of achievement through target setting and differentiated approaches

Wreake Valley Academy is an 11-18 school with approx. 800 students on roll. It joined the Bradgate Multi Academy Trust in September 2018, which includes many of its feeder schools, and which operates solely to support local schools within Leicestershire.
