The maths team consists of eleven specialist staff who are passionate and enthusiastic about a maths curriculum that provides enrichment and real life opportunities for our students.
You will be involved in a four year journey developing the maths curriculum in line with the White Rose Maths programme with a focus on teaching for mastery. At KS4 we offer GCSE statistics in an option block and the Level 2 certificate in further maths as additional qualification for those wanting to broaden their maths skills or take maths onto to post 16.
At post 16 we offer Core Maths, A Level Maths and Further Maths which are all taught in our specialist sixth form centre. As a member of our team you will be actively involved in Maths CPD and be willing to try new approaches in delivering our curriculum to ensure it is inclusive and ambitious for all.
This post would suit either a new entrant to the profession or an experienced teacher.We would welcome a teacher returning to work after a career break and will consider part time or flexible working where possible.

We are a large secondary academy for students aged 11-16 years based in Hucknall and, together with our partner academies, offer post 16 study at the Hucknall Sixth Form Centre. We support our young people, so they enjoy their time at the academy and play a key part in all that academy life has to offer. We are immensely proud of the successes achieved by our students and we constantly strive to do more and be even better. Our ultimate purpose is very simple – to do everything that we can to ensure that our students leave ready to take their place in an increasingly complicated and competitive world.
