What skills and experience we're looking for
The Hundred of Hoo Academy has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiasticTeacher of Mathematicsto join our thriving department from September 2024; ideal for either an ECT or an experienced teacher. Previous experience teaching A-level maths is desirable but not essential. This is a fantastic role that offers not only the support from the Academy itself but also the support across the Trust; we have a bespoke ECT programme available within the academy and across the wider Trust that our successful candidate will benefit from.
The department comprises experienced, enthusiastic and engaging teachers. You would be joining a friendly, professional team who are passionate about their subject and committed to academic excellence. You should have drive and boundless enthusiasm to enable each and every child to unlock their true potential, and take particular concern for providing the conditions in which pupils exceed expectations, as the academy continues its journey from Good to Outstanding.
It is essential that you have a positive outlook, are supportive of others and openly share excellent practice, modeling this consistently to the rest of the staff. You should embrace a forward-thinking approach to further raising standards in teaching, frequent coaching feedback and live modeling in lessons, ensuring that our pupils have access to highly effective learning experiences, developing their acquisition of knowledge and skills and enabling all to be life-long learners.
This is a full-time or part-time opportunity on a permanent basis offering MPS/UPS commensurate with experience. Those seeking part-time hours should state this on their application form.
