We are able to offer a new position in the Maths department due to increasing our capacity. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspirational and experienced teacher of Maths. Candidates will be talented, dynamic and will challenge and motivate our students to get the very best meaningful outcomes.
At its core, the aim of the maths department is to seek to inspire our students to aim high and to be the best they can be. The team is developing a scheme of work that is research-based, with built-in assessment, and that has raising students’ aspirations at its core. This is being done through carefully shared planning to keep a close eye on staff workload. The department is also ensuring this is sufficiently flexible to deal with the varying needs of the cohorts that will pass through the school.
In addition, the Maths team is at an exciting point in their development where they are beginning to offer Further Maths and Statistics GCSE courses alongside the Maths GCSE to help extend our highest-attaining students. A key part of the departmental CPD moving forwards is upskilling the team to better deal with the complex needs of the cohorts across all prior attainment bands here at PCS.
We provide constant, high quality CPD and all staff are passionate about sharing good practice.
If you are looking for an opportunity that will excite and challenge you, and have boundless energy and resilience, then we look forward to receiving your application.
