Requirements:
To apply for the Teacher of Maths opportunity you must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a relevant field or a willingness to engage in assessment only route within school
- Recent experience delivering highly engaging and inspirational lessons
- Up to date knowledge of the Maths KS3 & 4 curriculum
- Experience of or interest in delivering Further Maths

About the Maths Department:
It is our passion, for every child to develop a love for Maths. Every child can learn Maths given the correct environment and learning experiences, which our curriculum map embodies.
Our curriculum map is designed to allow children to have exposure to real-life situations and be able to transfer their skills and knowledge learnt into everyday life. It is also important that every child develops a confidence to apply their Mathematical skills across other areas of the curriculum, and our curriculum map has this in mind with links to science, geography and design in particular. Our curriculum allows children to not only develop their Mathematical skills, but also their reasoning and problem- solving skills.

Ellis Guilford School is a mixed secondary school, catering for children between the ages of 11 and 16 years and located in Old Basford, Nottingham.
Since November 2018 we have been part of the Creative Education Trust. This has enabled the school to rigorously pursue rapid improvement for the children we teach.
