What skills and experience we're looking for
The school is looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Teacher of Maths who can teach to the full range of abilities, ensuring appropriate differentiation for students, resulting in high levels of attainment and progress in this key subject. The post holder will have a strong and confident general teaching ability with strategies to motivate and stretch learners across the key stages and ability ranges. This post will commence in September 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter.
The departments classrooms are all located in the same area of the school, centred around the Head of Department. The current teaching team is well established and results in GCSE have been consistently good. The department is well resourced and supported by a technician. Various platforms are used to enhance teaching and learning. It is expected that the successful candidate will bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm to complement the existing team.

High levels of appreciation of others are evident across the school. Pupils want to learn, and they work hard in lessons. Staff have high expectations of pupils’ behaviour, and low-level disruption is rare. Teachers establish clear routines in lessons.’ Dec Ofsted 2019 In April 2017 we moved into a new school. The school is growing in popularity and this growth is likely to continue. We also believe passionately in providing a well-rounded education to our students both in and out of the classroom and are committed to supporting our staff.
