Outwood Grange Academies Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Maths to be based at Outwood Academy Hasland Hall. Outwood Academy Hasland Hall is based in the historic market town of Chesterfield, and recently joined the Outwood Family of Schools in 2021. As a member of the Outwood Family we believe in putting Students First, raising standards and transforming lives.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, driven professional to join our Family of Schools. You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our single goal of ‘students first’.
We expect our staff to be the best they can be and in turn encourage and bring out the best in our wonderful students. Our diverse curriculum has something for everyone, with extra guidance for those requiring additional support, and we do whatever it takes to help young people develop a sense of responsibility – towards themselves, each other, their community and the wider world. This is an opportunity to join our Maths Department who are committed to driving progress and attainment to improve the life chances of every student.
We can enhance your skills and teaching practice and help you to move into the position to which you aspire. Our Trust includes five teaching schools, a Maths Hub, an English Hub, four School Direct providers and two national support schools. These organisations work together to form the Outwood Institute of Education and work to support schools to improve outcomes for young people across the North of England. If you want a rewarding career in education with the prospect of advancement we want to hear from you.
We have a great training package for ECTs and teachers new to the academy including: Teaching for Mastery; Open Classroom events; Maths Matters; TSST; Reasoning at KS3; weekly professional development time and further programmes free through the Outwood Institute of Education. We invest in you so you invest in our students.
Outwood Grange Academies Trust offers:
- The opportunity to work and progress across the Family of Schools, should you wish in the future;
- The chance to apply for leadership roles in the Deeps structure taking on a whole school leadership project;
- The support and expertise of our Directors of Maths working across the Family of Schools;
- A full and detailed programme of support and development for all;
- A further comprehensive programme of professional development, including leadership, provided through the Outwood Institute of Education.
We believe that all teaching and support staff posts within our Family of Schools are key posts in terms of supporting student success and achievement across a broad range of subjects and experiences. As such we are keen to recruit dedicated and ambitious professionals who will add value to our Academy in both academic terms and through involvement in the fabric of learning and success beyond the classroom.
