Teacher of Maths job summary
As a result of increased curriculum demand and a maternity leave, we are seeking to appoint an inspirational practitioner to join our maths team. We would be excited to hear from you if you are new to teaching and looking for the right school to start your teaching career or are a more experienced teacher seeking a new challenge, such as an ambition to teach A Level or work for a large multi academy trust. You would be joining a large and growing department, full of dedicated, driven maths teachers working towards the common goal of providing our students with the very best education and, ultimately, securing year on year best ever results at GCSE and A level. Maths is a hugely popular subject at the school, attracting increasingly high numbers at A Level, and with our students performing among the best in country on our online homework platforms, Hegarty Maths and Sparx Maths.
We offer pay scales above the national standard with rapid progression for those who get consistent outstanding student outcomes, reduced gym membership to our on-site gym, reduced fees for the on-site nursery, and a laptop. There is a car leasing scheme and all staff can access ‘Perkbox’ offering discounts in weekly shopping, high street stores and flights and holidays. Why? Because we want the best for all our staff as well as our students!
As a United Learning academy, we have the opportunity to collaborate with other maths departments locally and across the country. We have played our part in developing a comprehensive scheme of work which is shared across the academy trust and have developed a rigorous and structured teaching and learning policy which makes planning lessons easy while ensuring we get the most out of every minute of our students’ time.
We appreciate that moving to a new school is a significant decision, so we wish to extend an open invite for you to meet us. Please contact Vicky Ovens on 01243 871068 or email vicky.ovens@theregisschool.co.uk to arrange a visit to the school or a phone conversation.
Closing date: Tuesday 7th December 2021 at 9am
