What skills and experience we're looking for
The successful candidate will be someone with a passion for their subject, who has excellent subject knowledge, and who will inspire and actively assist in the further development of Mathematics within the school. ECTs are welcome to apply for this post.
What the school offers its staff
We have very good teaching facilities, including state of the art facilities for 6th form, an excellent programme of CPD and offer candidates the opportunity to teach across the 11-18 age range in a disciplined, orderly and supportive environment.
At The Bicester School we pride ourselves on having successfully created an ethos that is nurturing, but challenging, and fully inclusive to all staff and students. We are fortunate to be located in a rural part of North Oxfordshire with excellent transport links.
Further details about the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Maths Department from September 2023 in a team-orientated school, graded as ‘Good’ in all categories. (Ofsted June 2018)
Our Mathematics Department is a stimulating and exciting environment. It has grown in strength with the current team and we are looking for a passionate and forward-thinking individual who will help build on the success of the department. Our vacancy would suit a teacher who is looking for the next step in their career under the direction of a conscientious Head of Department.
Commitment to safeguarding
Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, candidates will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
The Bicester School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
We undertake social media checks on all shortlisted candidates in accordance with DFE statutory guidance ‘KCSIE 2023’.
