Teacher of Maths – UPS/MPS + £2,000 Recruitment Bonus

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and highly motivated teacher of Maths to complement our enthusiastic and knowledgeable team. The successful candidate will be able to teach throughout all Key Stages Three and Four. We believe all students have the right to develop their Mathematical capabilities and skills to thrive in their studies and take them to the next level.

The mathematics department is a friendly, hard-working team, committed to stimulating students’ interest and enjoyment in their studies, in addition to, consistently producing outstanding examination results. The strong team ethos of collaborative planning and shared resources enables students to make excellent progress in mathematics across all key stages. Recent Ofsted reports have commented that “The teaching of mathematics in the sixth form is outstanding” and that “teaching in mathematics is a strength of the school”. We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, highly motivated, and innovative teacher who will add value to this already thriving curriculum area.

Ethical leadership is at the core of all decision making at Southfield. Every member of the staff is involved in a variety of professional learning programmes that take place every Wednesday across the academic year. You would be joining a friendly, hard-working team, with an ethos of collaborative planning and shared resources.

The post will ideally start September 2024, a January 2025 start may also be considered. Applications from ECTs are welcomed as are applicants wanting part time working.
