Over view of the job

We are keen to recruit an energetic and dynamic maths teacher to join our rapidly growing team. As a member of our teaching team, you will be committed to raising standards through the delivery of a rich, exciting curriculum designed for optimum engagement and success. We are looking for a teacher who shares our ethos of aspiration and resilience, and is able to prepare children for a promising future ahead.

Purpose of the post

• to develop children's understanding and knowledge of mathematics
• to work under the head of the department to prepare learner's for their move to Y9 in upper school
• to take responsibility for a class of children and enthuse them with a desire to learn and an interest in the wider world along with a deep sense of themselves as successful learners
• to be accountable for student progress and attainment levels within the subject area
• to be a form tutor to an assigned group of students
