Teacher of Maths job summary
We are looking to appoint an outstanding Maths teacher who has excellent subject knowledge and a determination to ensure the pupils they teach are able to make demonstrable progress
You will be joining an outstanding department that has consistently produced results that are above national average over the years. You will enjoy teaching children of all abilities and ages, show expertise in managing behavior and in doing so, support the culture for learning which exists in the school. Our mathematics department is outstanding and consistently produces results that are significantly above national average. The Maths Progress 8 element at Crayford was +0.35 which was the highest P8 element score in our Federation. The department has a stable team of 8 teachers who are experienced and passionate about Mathematics. We really are an area of excellence and we are looking to add to this with this post.
We are seeking a strong, well-qualified practitioner with a degree and a teaching qualification who is keen to develop their own practice to the highest level and take advantage of our excellent professional learning. The candidate must be a compelling communicator with an ability to champion the subject to pupils with a fully comprehensive range
Your professionalism will extend beyond your classroom and you will be expected to support the values and aims of Crayford Academy. You will share our commitment that pupils should feel happy and safe in school, and that all teachers take responsibility for this as well as their academic success.
