King Edward VI School Lichfield is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Mathematics teacher to join an exceptional department. With 88% of grades at 9-4, 71% of grades at 9-5 and 34% of grades at 9-7 in GCSE Mathematics in 2019, you will be joining a high-performing, collaborative department. This post has become available due to increased curriculum demand and is suitable for a current classroom teacher or for an early careers teacher.
Mathematics is popular and successful from Key Stage 3 through to our thriving, successful Sixth Form. The appointed teacher will also have the opportunity over time to teach A Level Mathematics and A Level Further Mathematics in addition to GCSE Mathematics. We also have a successful Level 3 Core Maths course in the Sixth Form to encourage further development of students’ mathematical skills. Over 40% of our current Year 13 students are taking a Level 3 Maths course.
We are looking for a teacher with infectious enthusiasm, excellent communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents. We expect the successful candidate to work as part of a team and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life.
