Teacher of Maths job summary

The Northworthy Trust are inviting applications for the post of Teacher of Maths. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and ambitious team of Maths teachers, who are committed to improving attainment levels across the faculty through their passion for teaching and learning. The post holder will be based at Merrill Academy in Derby. The successful applicant will be professional, adaptable and dedicated to delivering high quality teaching across a Maths department. They will have strong communication skills and will be able to work well within a team, yet be able to demonstrate an ability to utilise their own initiative. They will be motivated and resilient and be able to demonstrate the skills required to effectively manage behavior and engage students in their learning. Following a recent Ofsted inspection Merrill Academy is now out of Special Measures and has been graded as Requires Improvement. This is a very exciting time to be joining the Academy where the leadership, staff, pupils and community are determined to take Merrill Academy to Outstanding.

This is an excellent opportunity for an NQT or more experienced teacher to join this innovative and growing Trust. NQTs benefit from a full programme of NQT support throughout their Induction Year and all staff enjoy the benefits of CPD. The post holder will enjoy working in a caring and supportive environment at Merrill Academy.
