The Role

We are looking to appoint a well qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Maths to join our welcoming, effective and motivated team in maths. This role would suit an early career teacher or a more experienced teacher.

Working with a team of 13 teaching staff there will be the opportunity to teach maths from year 7 through to A level. Our collaboration through VI6 at the University of Essex also provides an opportunity to teach Further Maths A level.

The maths team have seen year on year improvement in GCSE and A Level results, they have very clear strategies for enabling students to succeed in maths including “I do, we do, you do” approaches to modelling. Students participate in the North Essex Maths Olympiad events and the UKMT. Sparx Maths is used as a key resource in the team and students are rewarded at whole school events for their participation and achievements.
