Job summary
Priory is a very successful school with an excellent reputation. We are advertising for 2 motivated and enthusiastic full-time temporary, Teachers of Mathematics to join our enthusiastic and approachable department.
Both vacancies are required from 1st September 2021. The temporary vacancy is until 31st August 2022 and the maternity cover vacancy is to cover the duration of the maternity leave.
The successful candidates will be joining the Mathematics Curriculum Area, a friendly, supportive and conscientious team. We have seven teachers, one subject specialist teaching assistant and are led by a Curriculum Leader and two Deputy Curriculum Leaders.
Over the last few years, the department have worked hard to build a significant bank of resources, so that every lesson across all 5 year groups now has a PowerPoint for teachers to use as their starting point for planning. This allows teachers to use their planning time to ensure that every learners needs are met, which means students are more engaged, and lessons are really enjoyable to teach. In addition, a recent advantage of having this established and well resourced scheme of work has also been an ability to provide students with engaging and meaningful home learning, without huge additional workloads for teachers.

• A UK teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE, SCITT, BEd or MEd with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• A relevant Mathematics Degree or a related subject
• A love and passion for education.
