The Burgate School and Sixth Form is a very successful and popular 11 – 18 mixed comprehensive school with an excellent reputation in the local community for very high educational standards.

We believe that Every Child Matters and we recognise all of our students as individuals, encouraging each to reach their full potential. Every member of staff is committed to raising standards of achievement and nurturing a culture of high expectations to drive success for each student. We want to support them in becoming independent learners, as well as confident and responsible young people.

At Burgate we achieve excellent examination results by setting aspirational targets for each child. Students work hard towards these targets assisted and encouraged by teachers who enthuse and motivate them in engaging and thought provoking lessons.
