Would you like to use your Maths skills teaching highly motivated students in a welcoming and supportive environment? We’re looking to appoint a teacher of Maths who has the subject knowledge and desire to inspire our extremely engaged, articulate and diverse student body. The school greatly values the contribution that the study of Maths brings to its curriculum offer, being the most popular subject at A level, and as an enabler to a wide range of Higher Education and career options and to the all-round development of the students, helping them flourish as global citizens.

In the summer, the department supported 97% of students to achieve a level 7-9 at GCSE and 97% of students an A*-B at A level. The Department provides both Maths and Further Maths at A Level and many of our students go on to study Maths or related subjects at Oxbridge and other leading universities.

Early career teachers are very welcome to apply - we support the development of new teachers through an excellent ECT training programme and the Maths department is very supportive in its approach.

Candidates suitable for the role will:

  • be confident in teaching Maths to high achieving students
  • be keen to develop their subject knowledge in all facets of Maths at A level
  • be passionate about personal and professional development and demonstrates a willingness to engage with the findings of evidence-based research through our whole school CPD programme.
  • help extend and enrich students’ school experiences beyond the curriculum
  • have the ability to communicate effectively with staff, students and parents
