What skills and experience we're looking for

  • To be a graduate and either possess a Maths degree or hold a teaching certificate in Maths.
  • To have a sound and developing knowledge of the subject area and be willing to teach across the age and ability range.
  • A genuine passion for teaching Maths.
  • The ability to be an outstanding Maths teacher.
  • To be aware of the particular needs of teaching in an all Boys’ school.
  • To be able to set and maintain high expectations of work and behaviour.
  • To have some understanding of Equal Opportunities issues and a determination to apply the school’s Equal Opportunities Policy in all aspects of work as a professional.
  • To be able to enhance teaching delivery and learning by the use of ICT.
  • To help develop the work and ethos appropriate to the school.

We are looking to appoint an exceptional Teacher of Maths with a dynamic and inspirational approach to teaching. An individual that will become an integral part of the department, who will support the department in achieving its ambitious targets and goals. We would like a teacher who believes in collaboration both for students and when working with colleagues. The ideal candidate will be expected to contribute to extra-curricular activities within the department.
