Teacher of Maths job summary
We are now looking to add to our close-knit team of dedicated and dynamic teaching staff. We want to appoint a Teacher of Maths who is capable of teaching to GCSE, with A Level a welcome extra. Our existing Maths team are warm and supportive and work well as a co-ordinated team under the leadership of our very effective Head of Maths. They achieve fantastic GCSE results, with well above national average Progress 8 and above national average Attainment 8 scores, and have made a strong start with A Level Maths. It is sadly not always common to have an opportunity to work in a successful Maths department that is fully staffed and stable with strong leadership and excellent shared resourcing.
Commitment to safeguarding
Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff, volunteers and trustees to share this commitment.
Our recruitment process follows the keeping children safe in education guidance.
Offers of employment may be subject to the following checks (where relevant):
childcare disqualification
Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
medical
online and social media
prohibition from teaching
right to work
satisfactory references
suitability to work with children
You must tell us about any unspent conviction, cautions, reprimands or warnings under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.
