What the school offers its staff
Bexleyheath has been on an incredible journey of improvement, from Special Measures, 'Inadequate' in all areas, to our current status as a 'Good' school. We have a fantastic team of friendly, happy staff who have worked hard to realise that transformation. In terms of the broader school, we recognise that teaching and leading is a demanding career, and we aim to ensure that staff who have chosen to join the profession are supported as they can be. We have a zero-tolerance approach to anything that interrupts learning. Our central team deals with all behaviour issues, non-completion of homework, phone calls and detentions to ensure that teachers are as free as possible to do the three things that matter most: Plan, Teach & Assess. Teachers at Bexleyheath Academy are not asked to participate in break and lunch duties.
