What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a dedicated, well qualified and enthusiastic teacher of Media Studies to join this popular and highly successful department. Media Studies is well established at KS4 and KS5, with courses offered in GCSE and A Level Media Studies and Level 2 and Level 3 Cambridge Technical Certificate and Extended Certificate. You will be part of a small team in the successful planning and delivery of these qualifications, enabling all pupils to achieve. As part of your role you will be responsible for the monitoring of pupil progress and the promotion of the department to pupils choosing options at GCSE and A level.
We have two specialist Media teaching rooms, including one PC suite and one studio with green screen and studio lighting. Students also utilise a range of audio-visual equipment in their learning, including access to Adobe Creative Cloud for staff and students.

Further details about the role
Candidates must have a passion for the subject and a desire to educate pupils of all abilities. A successful candidate will be equipped with the knowledge and skills required to deliver both the GCSE and A Level courses, and Cambridge Technical qualifications, and radiate creativity and enthusiasm in the classroom. You will have high expectations of yourself and the pupils, and demonstrate a flexible approach to working with other members of staff. You will be committed to improving the learning outcomes for all pupils in the school.
