We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of MFL who would enjoy being part of a forward thinking MFL Department. This is an opportunity to work in a team where your teaching will develop. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, who has the drive, passion and commitment to our school.Cranbourne’s MFL Department is known for its high standards and innovative practice.
In 2022, our MFL
Department attained a 100% pass rate in French and 86% in Spanish. We
are delighted to be the first secondary school in Basingstoke to be awarded the
EMTAS EAL Excellence Award at Gold Level.
The MFL Department
is a proud hub of internationalism within the school and local community and we
have a large body of trained Young Interpreters on our student body who promote
our vision of true inclusivity. Our staff are dynamic and committed to improving
the life chances of our students. We
need a self-motivated and reflective teacher who has strong interpersonal
skills and is an excellent team player.

Cranbourne is a welcoming 11-16 comprehensive school in the heart of Basingstoke. The school is situated in a leafy suburb, close to the town centre on a large green site, with excellent facilities, including extensive playing fields, specialist arts, media and design workshops as well as a large indoor swimming pool. We also benefit from specialist vocational teaching in Hair and Beauty and Sport and Music. The school’s core purpose is to meet the needs of each individual student. We are proud of our GCSE results, and our specialist unit for the teaching of students with dyslexia.
