We are a unique, small, rural 11-16 academy in the beautiful setting of North-West Worcestershire. Our pupils are happy, well behaved and proud of their school. The academy has a strong vein of moral purpose where the child is at the heart of all we do. We invest in our pupils and our staff to ensure all are supported to be the best they can be.
We are looking for a driven and committed practitioner to teach French at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The post sits within the Communications Faculty consisting of Languages, Music, Business Studies and Computer Science and is led by an experienced leader and teacher of French and German. Languages uptake is good, and we currently offer French and German at GCSE. The team offer a wide range of extra- curricular opportunities in Languages and run several overseas, residential trips each year.
Our languages curriculum is designed to develop an understanding and tolerance of different cultures allowing our pupils to communicate globally.
The MFL department enables pupils to develop an appreciation of other cultures and build self-confidence by broadening horizons and intercommunicative skills. Language and communication skills are vital in today’s ever changing global society and our course helps pupils develop a deeper understanding of the world around us.
