About MFL Department

French, Spanish and Italian are taught through all Key Stages at St Mary’s, with established courses at both GCSE and A-Level. Approximately 80% of Year 11 undertake the English Baccalaureate including a language. Attainment and progress in the department are outstanding, with MFL Progress 8 regularly in the top 10% of all schools nationally. The successful candidate would be expected to teach both French and Spanish/Italian across the full age and ability range, supported by a dedicated and innovative cast of supporting colleagues. The MFL department is located within our newly £5m renovated Victorian block in state of the art and modern, bright and inspirational classrooms.
