Teacher of MFL (Spanish and French) job summary

Do you want to be part of an OFSTED ‘Good’ academy with a highly successful MFL Department? We are looking for a Teacher of MFL specialising in French and Spanish.
You would be joining not only a successful MFL Department, but one that works together as a team and is highly supportive of one another. Additionally the school as a whole values the development of its staff; high quality personal and professional development is a key reason for our success and we place great emphasis on supporting and developing you throughout your career.
All classrooms in the faculty are fully equipped with interactive SMART boards, speakers and colourful, engaging displays. We use Studio for French and Viva for Spanish, both via active learn online textbook subscription which allows us to use a wide variety of online games and video tasks with students in addition to the standard activities set out in the text book. We also set interactive online homework via this system.
For GCSE we prepare students for the AQA syllabus.
Languages students at The Magna Carta School take part in a range of extra curricular activities such as Spanish choirs, poetry competitions and annual European Day of Languages events.
Spanish and French continue to be popular options choices at GCSE.
We are searching for someone who has the skills to grow and develop outstanding practice, together with the ambition to excel as a classroom practitioner. Candidates should:
• Have the ability to teach French and Spanish across the age & ability range in Years 7 – 11
• Be committed to raising achievement for students of all abilities
• Be able to motivate and engage students
• Have the potential to become an outstanding teacher and committed to professional development and acting upon advice
• Be creative, determined, enthusiastic, resilient and passionate about delivering a high quality education to all students.
