What skills and experience we're looking for
Essential
- Teaching Spanish or French to at least GCSE Level.
- A proven track record as a good/outstanding classroom teacher.
- A proven track record of high standards of achievement.
- The ability to use data effectively to track progress, set targets and implement appropriate intervention strategies.
- Experience as a Form Tutor.
Desirable
- Experience of teaching both Spanish and French to KS3.
- Experience of teaching within an 11-18 school.
- Experience of teaching Spanish or French at Post 16 level.
Essential
- Sound knowledge of the MFL curriculum, including curriculum changes implemented in September 2024.
- Excellent knowledge of a wide range of pedagogic approaches.
- Good understanding of the assessment processes for MFL and how to use these to support planning and raise student achievement.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of strategies for promoting good relationships with students and effective behaviour management techniques.
- Confident use of ICT.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
