Teacher of MFL job summary
(Part-time: FTE 0.6 – part-time temporary – maternity cover)
At Wyedean, all students learn one language, Spanish or French from Year 7 and this alternates each year. At GCSE a large number of students continue with at least one language and there is the option to study a second language "fast track" at GCSE if students have shown linguistic ability.
The Languages department has high expectations, excellent behaviour management and we are consistent in our manner of teaching. We also incorporate many of Gianfranco Conti’s language learning strategies and methods into our lessons.
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and adaptable teacher who can inspire and motivate students and who has a real passion for teaching languages. We will need you to teach Spanish to KS3 and French to KS3, KS4 and KS5.
This post is a maternity cover and this post is required from Easter 2022 – December 2022.
Applications should reach the school by Wednesday 30th March
Interviews will be held on Tuesday 5th April
