Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (0.6 FTE, Fixed Term) job summary
Priory is a very successful school with an excellent reputation. The school is consistently oversubscribed, yet has a genuinely comprehensive intake.
The Governors seek to appoint a well-qualified, Linguist with a dynamic and innovative approach to modern language teaching. The Modern Foreign Language department has 9 staff. French, Spanish and German are taught across all year groups and Latin is taught for 10 weeks in year 7. The ability to teach Latin is desirable but not essential. Exam results are consistently excellent and the department is friendly, supportive and positive with an ethos of innovation and challenge.
This position is temporary from September 2020 until August 2021. The salary range is Teachers Main/Upper Pay Scale. The hours of work are 19.5 hours per week, (0.6 FTE).
This would be an ideal opportunity for either an experienced practitioner or for a newly qualified teacher. All expressions of interest are welcome.
