What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to join our established MFL Faculty. This role is suitable for an ECT as well as a more experienced candidate

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Qualified teacher status
  • Degree or equivalent
  • Successful teaching experience of delivering MFL across 11-16 age and full ability range.

-Knowledge and Experience of

  • The versatility and determination to discover and capitalise on the strengths of students in all classes.
  • Knowledge of:- How using data can improve student achievement- The MFL wider curriculum and recent / ongoing changes to the curriculum.- The effective use of classroom support to enable students with additional needs to achieve.
  • An awareness and understanding of current educational policy and issues.

-Personal Skills and Qualities

  • Evidence of participation in recent professional development particularly related to the languages delivered.
  • Passion to make a difference to pupils’ learning in MFL
  • Ability to be a team member
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
  • Energy, drive and dynamism
