Further details about the role

We are offering an exciting opportunity to an enthusiastic teacher to begin or enhance their career as part of a dynamic team.

Languages at the school play a hugely important role in ensuring the curriculum offer at Farlingaye offers students breadth and opportunity, and also the chance to foster a life-long love of learning a foreign language. We currently offer three languages, Spanish, French and German at KS3 with most students studying two in years 8 and 9. At GCSE and A Level all three languages are offered, and the strength of outcomes at both levels shows the ability of the students here and the excellence in teaching on offer.

The person appointed will be assured of considerable support; we are a very successful, enthusiastic, hardworking, lively and very friendly group of teachers committed to promoting multiculturalism and language learning as a skill for life.

Farlingaye is a high-achieving comprehensive school with over 1900 students. It has a well-established reputation in the county of Suffolk and in the community, situated in the picturesque town of Woodbridge, approximately 10 miles north of Ipswich. We are proud to be part of an exciting and developing local Trust, EAST.

Potential candidates are encouraged to visit the school, and will be warmly welcomed. Requests for visits should be made prior to the closing date of Wednesday, 22nd November 2023. Please contact our HR Manager, Linda Marsh.
