An outstanding opportunity has arisen to work in Gloucestershire’s largest comprehensive school.
We are looking to appoint a Teacher of Languages to join a lively and enthusiastic Languages Department at Cheltenham Bournside School, where our four languages are popular options. The successful candidate will be a key part of the team, who will teach French and Spanish at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 and teach Spanish at A Level.
A balanced languages curriculum is taught. In Year 7 from September 2021 we aim to give each student an experience of learning each of our languages – French, German, Spanish and Mandarin. From Year 8 they will be given the chance to specialise in the one(s) they feel they want to take further into Year 8/9 and beyond at GCSE and A Level. We currently teach the AQA specification for all GCSE languages and for French, German and Spanish at A Level, and Pearson Edexcel for Mandarin at A Level.
