What skills and experience we're looking for
Due to the growth of our academy, we are seeking to appoint a dynamic and motivated teacher of Linguistics with an infectious passion for their subject and specialist subject knowledge to join us.
You will be part of a team of three other expert teachers and will receive excellent support and opportunities for development within the academy and across the Trust.
You must be confident in the delivery of both areas at KS3 and KS4 and have the ambition and dedication to continue to support the development of the curriculum and wider curriculum in line with current practice and research in effective teaching.
You will be able to support the promotion of excellent standards of student learning, achievement, progress, attainment and behaviour through working effectively and collaboratively. You will be passionate about your specialist subject and recognise the importance and impact that this area of the curriculum has on a student’s wider life, on their future destinations and career prospects.
The Language faculty currently consists of three other expert teachers who are all specialists.
We offer a strong ECT programme that supports retention and supports strong pedagogical practice.
Across Y7–11, we use Duolingo for homework, which enables our students to make high levels of progress and reduces workload.
GCSE outcomes were extremely strong, with students exceeding the national averages at all headline measures.
We offer many overseas residential experiences for our students to immerse themselves and gain needed cultural capital that enhances their knowledge and application of languages.
We are forging strong links with our local primary schools to promote a love of languages and support the development at KS2.
