Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages job summary

As a Teacher of MFL (Spanish), you will plan and teach challenging, well-organised MFL lessons to students from across the school, offering individual support when necessary to help students fulfil their potential in the subject. We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of Spanish (plus some Italian), with a passion for the subject and excellent subject knowledge.

The Department

The MFL Department strives to create curious students, who are inspired to explore language and the world. Our students produce performance work of the highest standard. The department is made up of the Head of MFL, three full time teacher (which we are recruiting for here).

The successful candidate will:

  • Has expereince of SPanish as a specialist subject up to at least GCSE.
  • Hold a QTS qualification (or equivalent).
  • Has a commitmet to raising standards and achieving excellence for all students
  • Have excellent IT skills and using technology effectively to support teaching and learning
  • Be proactive and self-motivated.
  • Have a flexible approach to work.
  • Can contribute to th e school's rich extra-curricular programme and wider school life
