Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages job summary
Due to the expansion of the Languages department, we are seeking to appoint an inspirational NQT or experienced languages teacher from September 2020. This is an incredibly exciting time to be joining Longsands Academy, a fully inclusive secondary school at the heart of its community.
The successful candidate would be joining a highly supportive and dedicated team that is committed to maximising student potential by fostering a love of language learning and an appreciation of internationalism. At Longsands we have a sound track record of very good GCSE results above National Average and our goal is continuous improvement.
This position represents an excellent opportunity to become part of a vibrant and innovative department which currently offers French and German to A Level. The successful candidate will be able to teach French to A Level with German or Spanish to GCSE desirable. Applicants should demonstrate a zest for language teaching and a desire to be involved in the continued success of the department and the extended opportunities offered within Longsands Academy.
